However, the technology is not quite there with electric lawn mowers to make it feasible for commercial landscapers to use. Electric lawn mowers typically only stay charged for around 40 minutes, and would need a gas powered generator to be brought along to keep them charged throughout the day.

Additionally, electric commercially used ride on lawn mowers do not mitigate any noise pollution and are just as loud as gas powered lawn mowers. Electric lawn mowers however are quieter with walk lawn mowers, which are typically used by individuals.

The lithium batteries in electric lawn mowers also pose a hazard as they are highly flammable. And while lithium-ion batteries power a lot of technology nowadays, including our phones, the larger the device, the more batteries it requires and the more potential for an accident. Lithium-ion batteries are also sensitive to sunlight and may be more likely to combust if they spend too much time in the sun, which is incompatible with spending a day mowing lawns.
